The Big Parking Debate in Nyack

Are the new parking rules in the Village of Nyack working for you?  On May 15th, the Village of Nyack decided to try a new parking policy, which would be in effect for 90 days.  If you come to visit the Village of Nyack, you can expect to feed the meter from 11am to 6pm, then again from 11pm to 6am.  A bit confusing, but the thought is, if the village doesn't require paid  parking during dinner time, more people will come out and dine at one of the local eateries. Sounds pretty good, right?  Well, there seems to be some issue with the local bar owners.  They feel that those who are out for the night, are not going to run out at 11pm to pay the meter.  I can certainly understand that, but really like the idea of no meter during dinner hours.  I guess we won't really know if this new policy is working until the 90 day trial period is up.  It may be working for some, but not others.  It will be interesting to see how the summer plays out.  So, what do you think, for it or not?
